She wanted to start a local run club that - you guessed it - wasn’t so damn fast.

The 1013 Run Club was founded in June of 2022 in Holliston, Massachusetts to provide an inclusive, community-based running organization that empowers all people to participate in the sport of running in pursuit of enjoyment, health, well-being and competition, with a special emphasis on new, returning, and ‘back-of-the-pack’ runners.

Quick Hits:

What does 1013 stand for? The idea came to our founder (Renee!) because she always ran a pace between 10 - 13 minutes per mile.

Is it just for runners who run that pace? No, no, and no! We welcome runners of all abilities to join the 1013 Run Club. We’ve got 8-minute milers and 14-minute milers.

How is the Bird & Bear Collective involved? In 2022 Renee approached Erin, founder and owner of The Bird & Bear Collective in Holliston with an idea to have the run club out of the Collective. As usual, Erin fully supported her idea and said yes! The Bird and Bear Collective has been our home ever since.

How is the Road Runners Club of America Involved? We’re a certified RRCA run club!

I’d love to join you guys for a run, now what? Awesome. We cannot wait to run with you. Let us know you’re joining us by filling out the form below or just showing up! After 1-2 runs, if the club feels like a good fit, you’ll pay membership dues which are good for that respective calendar year. More information on membership can be found on our Membership page.
